Qualcomm Institute on the UCSD campus
ISGS 6 will be held at the Qualcomm Insitute on the beautiful campus of UC San Diego. The campus is a short walk from stunning beaches, and bus transit is available to transport you to the shops, cafes, and restaurants of downtown La Jolla. La Jolla Cove also features sea lions that sunbathe on the rocks, and excellent snorkeling just offshore.

We strongly encourage participants to stay on campus or nearby. The conference venue — the UC San Diego campus — is in La Jolla, a 20 minute drive from the San Diego International Airport.

We highly recommend the following accommodations:

• Warren Apartments: apartment-style accommodations in campus dormitories, immediately across the street from the conference venue. These two-bedroom apartments are used during the academic year to house students. While simple, they offer the perfect location for a good price. Prices includes breakfast and dinner. • Estancia Hotel and Spa: a luxury hotel, five minutes walk to campus and 15 minutes to the conference venue. Ask for the “UCSD” rate: $179/night, subject to availability. Walking directions available here.

Getting to Campus

Taxis cost approximately $50.
 
Public transit from San Diego International Airport to the conference venue is available but will take over an hour and requires transferring between buses. Possible routes are available here.
 
If you’re driving to campus, there is visitor parking available available in Hopkins Parking Structure, a short walk from the conference venue.
